The lamb of God was sacrificed as the great sin offering, where also each believer must present himself with all that he has as a thank offering to God. That altar is the cross. The bible teaches us that the altar itself has to be sanctified by blood, if it was to possess the power of sanctifying whatever touched it. This is the second part of this 4 part teaching.
